ABOUT THE JOB:

COMOS Hardware Business Admin is responsible for the governance, administration, standardization, and continuous development of the COMOS engineering environment. The position ensures high-quality engineering data, standardized workflows, and efficient interdisciplinary collaboration across automation, process, electrical, instrumentation, and system engineering disciplines. The role acts as the key interface between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and the central COMOS development organization with a strong focus on business area specific development needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and govern the use of COMOS within the organization
• Define, maintain, and continuously improve COMOS standards, guidelines, templates, and best practices
• Ensure consistent engineering processes and data structures across projects and regions
• Maintain engineering data integrity, naming conventions, tagging structures, and document standards
• Administer COMOS projects, structures, templates, engineering libraries, and configuration settings
• Support user administration, access rights, roles, and authorization concepts
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for COMOS users
• Coordinate issue resolution and enhancement requests with the central COMOS development team
• Drive standardization and harmonization initiatives across business units and engineering disciplines
• Act as the primary contact for COMOS-related topics
• Support COMOS rollouts, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote digital engineering methods and foster knowledge sharing across global teams
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase efficiency by applying new working methods and technologies, including AI
• Lead the roll-out of iDB
• Provide second-level support for engineering applications and digital tools
• Participate in digitalization projects, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, rollout, and user support activities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Knowledge of COMOS administration, architecture, and data models
• Good understanding of P&IDs, instrumentation, electrical and automation engineering
• Good knowledge of engineering documentation and interdisciplinary data management
• Experience with engineering data governance and standardization
• Practical experience in VBA and Excel development; knowledge of Python scripting, SQL databases, data analytics, and reporting beneficial
• Leadership and stakeholder management
• Analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Change management mindset
• Ability to work in global multidisciplinary teams
