KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute is a dynamic company with many years of experience in the areas of electrical engineering, rail vehicles and infrastructure, laboratory testing, diagnostics, and certification.

Our Transformer department is looking for a new co-worker who will have a chance to be a part of one of our young developer teams.

Our Transformer department is working on numerous R&D assignments for power, distribution, and instrument transformers. In smaller teams of young researchers and experienced specialists, a dynamic working culture, experience sharing, and an eagerness for learning and individuality are encouraged. An interesting combination of expert knowledge, experimental testing possibilities, and available commercial and proprietary software greatly helps in the skillset broadening and professional advancement of its researchers.

Job description:

• development of software for supporting various transformer design stages
• pre and post data processing
• generation of automatic reports
• data visualization
• long-term application development for multiple client platforms (desktop, web, mobile, cloud…)

Job requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in software development
• B.Sc./Master’s in Computer Science/Computer Engineering is an advantage but not a requirement

Necessary:

• good understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• experience with dependency injection and modern .NET application architecture
• experience with Git version control
• experience with unit testing
• knowledge of C#/.NET, LINQ

Optional:

• experience designing and developing RESTful APIs (OpenAPI, OData)
• experience with integration testing
• knowledge of CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps or Gitlab or similar)
• knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• knowledge of message-oriented architecture and message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, MQTT/Mosquitto)
• experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server)
• WPF
• ASP.Net Core and/or Blazor
• Windows service and/or Linux daemons (sytemd)
• Python
• React.js
• agile development (Scrum, Kanban)
• Design patterns and software architecture
• Fundamentals of electrical engineering
• Knowledge of numerical calculations and finite element methods, experience with scripting
• Optimization methods

Other requirements:
