Now we are searching for:
Project engineer – Mechanical (m/f)
Navis Consult, provides an extensive range of engineering services such as electrical, ship basic design, detail and production engineering for new build ships and ship conversion and upgrade projects, as well as KM equipment factories engineering support. Its work covers all disciplines of shipbuilding engineering which enable shipyards to build or upgrade a wide range of ship types. Opportunities are available across several disciplines including ship design, ship structure, interior&safety, piping systems, HVAC and electrical.

Key responsibilities:
As part of our engineering teams, you will contribute to the design, development, and documentation of technically demanding marine and offshore projects. Depending on your experience and area of expertise, your responsibilities may include:
- Development of 3D models and 2D workshop documentation for propulsion machinery, heavy-lift handling systems, and deep-water deployment equipment using specialized engineering software tools, based on classification documentation, internal procedures and the company’s quality management system.
- Perform structural and strength calculations (FEA) to ensure the safety, code compliance, and optimization of Propulsion, Heavy marine deck machinery and Handling equipment using Numerical analysis software tools
- Development of 3D models for systems / ship equipment, based on classification documentation, using specialized engineering software tools
- Preparation and production of workshop documentation in accordance with Internal procedures and the company’s quality management system
Qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in some of the areas such as: mechanical design and engineering, marine and offshore projects, machinery systems, HVAC, structural analysis, outfitting, propulsion systems, handling equipment, or similar technical fields.
