What do we expect from you?

As our Accounting Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our financial operations, improving internal processes, and acting as a trusted partner to our business teams. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Own the accuracy and integrity of our financial records
You’ll ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded, compliant with HGB/IFRS, and ready for audit.
You’ll lead timely and error-free monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
You’ll take full ownership of your reconciliations, explaining variations and resolving issues proactively.

Deliver process improvements that make a difference

• You’ll map, document, and upgrade accounting processes to be more efficient and more sustainable (think: 0 paper).
• You’ll identify bottlenecks or risks and implement changes that reduce manual work and increase clarity.
• You’ll measure success through improved KPI tracking and stakeholder feedback.

Be the finance voice our teams trust and rely on

• You’ll provide real-time, actionable financial insights that help leaders make better decisions.
• You’ll identify compliance risks or inefficiencies and propose solutions before they escalate.
• You’ll enable your colleagues to understand financial processes through training and support, increasing autonomy across teams.

To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone who brings:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and tax compliance
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
• A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to simplify complex topics
• Experience in retail or a fast-paced environment (a plus)
• Familiarity with HGB/IFRS accounting standards (preferred)
